Abstract
Bu araştırmada 2019:I-2023:III dönemine ait TÜİK Çıkış Yapan Ziyaretçiler İstatistikleri,
Vatandaş Giriş İstatistikleri kullanılmıştır. Türkiye’ye gelen turistlerin geliş nedenlerinin
belirleyicileri Çok Durumlu Logit modeliyle belirlenmiştir. Çalışmanın en önemli bulgusu
turistin sağlık hizmeti satın almak amacıyla Türkiye’ye gelme olasılığını arttırırken; gezi,
eğlence, sportif ve kültürel faaliyetler, alışveriş vb. için Türkiye’ye gelme olasılığını ve
akraba-arkadaş, eğitim vb. diğer amaçlarla gelme olasılığını azaltmaktadır. Türk vatandaşı
olup yurtdışında ikamet edenlerin yabancı uyruklu ziyaretçilere göre sağlık amacıyla,
akraba-eş dost ziyareti, alışveriş vb. amacıyla gelme olasılığı az iken, gezi amacıyla
gelmesi olasılığı daha fazladır.

Abstract
In this study, TurkStat Departing Visitors Statistics and Citizen Entry Statistics for the
period 2019: I-2023: III were used. A multinominal logit model is used to determine the
determinants of tourists' reasons for travelling to Türkiye. The most important finding of
the study is that while the probability of tourists coming to Türkiye to purchase health
services increases, the probability of coming to Türkiye for sightseeing, entertainment,
sportive and cultural activities, shopping etc. and the probability of coming to Türkiye for
other purposes such as relatives-friends, education etc. decreases. Turkish citizens residing
abroad are less likely to come to Türkiye for health purposes, visiting relatives and friends,
shopping, etc., while they are more likely to come for travelling purposes.
